It places us in the driver’s seat with smalltime dealer Budge as he tries to pull one last deal with cash borrowed from a dangerous loan shark. When the handover goes catastrophically wrong, Budge finds himself in a race against time to find his missing product and get a new buyer ...。德（阮兆祥）因生意失败，又眼见香港顺利回归中国，遂与妻美（郭少芸）从加国回流返港另谋发展，但因美性格泼辣，与德母娟（程可为）及家人相处极不融洽。 德父发（郭峰）有感家中地方挤迫，决把旧居出售，更把所得订金高息借予么女菲（腾丽名）男友健（谢天华）。唯健竟搭上菲邻居森（李克勤）之未婚妻琪（姚莹莹），更挟带私逃！菲和森本是冤家，但为追查二人另一半的下落，只好暂时放开成见。过程中，森与菲姐珠（梅小惠）结成好友，更间接撮合珠及其好友强（梁荣忠）。 后菲及森成功寻得健，琪亦重投森怀抱，但菲却发现自己不知不觉中已爱上森！此时，娟和美无意中发现发和德分别在外金屋藏娇，二人晴天霹雳，顿时不知所措……。
