And what was it like to be in the audience of one of his plays, where fruit was throw...。民国时期，中国南部山村，与哑巴从小相依为命的妹妹给了别人。于是，对妹妹的愧疚之情一直伴随哑巴长大。村中漂亮的姑娘小花被三个强盗劫持，要卖往妓院，面对强大的敌人和寒光利刃，村人退避三舍，没人敢为了这个弱女子出头。此时，流浪为生的哑巴，却一路尾随三名强盗，让沦为羔羊的小花看到爱与希望。 哑巴对小花的情感是一种复杂且交汇起来的情感，有对妹妹愧疚之情的转移，有英雄救美的江湖豪情，也有青春萌动的情窦初开。哑巴在营救中吃尽苦头，几近命丧黄泉。一个信念，令他坚持到底，一腔怒火，燎动整个荒野。最终，三名恶盗被哑巴各个击破。一轮红日在无声的荒野尽头升起，众人抬着重伤的哑巴在林中奔跑。。
