姜晴岚夫妇外出打工，将女儿梓涵托付给重男轻女的婆婆李秀芬。因疏忽，梓涵在广场舞时走失，李秀芬恐遭责备，隐瞒真相，与女儿赵月英私下寻找。不料夫妇俩突然归来为梓涵庆生，李秀芬编织谎言应对。真相终败露，姜晴岚震惊之余，毅然踏上寻女之路。在一个月黑风高的秋夜，峨眉山文物管理所的珍贵文物被盗走，其中包括了我国原始社会的稀世珍宝——“绿松石耳坠”和“玉石皮璜”。鲁培民（夏宗佑饰）是嘉山市公安局刑警大队的队长，他与侦察员赵海（马树超饰）、徐汶（张志强饰）根据现场痕迹迅速锁定并抓获了小三娃（裴煜饰）这名入室盗窃的犯人。 小三娃在审讯中吓得惊慌失措，供述自己是受到窝赃犯邬家贵指使进行作案的。然而，就在此时，邬家贵却突然离世，他藏匿的所有文物中竟然只缺少了“绿松石耳坠”和“玉石皮璜”，案件的线索一时间中断。。If ghosts can think and remember who they are, then the physical brain is not the only place where we store our inner selves.
